Mr. Seattle - January
Lieutenant Jason Corlett is a member of Seattle Fire Fighters IAFF Local 27, which supports Nations's Bravest. Local 27's own Seattle's Bravest Charity was created after the 1995 fire deaths of four Seattle Firefighters at the Pang Warehouse Arson. The Charity aids victims of fire and natural disasters, the elderly through its Home Rescue Program, and children in need. It oversees the Kenneth Hoefner Scholarship Fund for children and relatives of Seattle firefighters, active and retired, and supports both the Walter Kilgore Honor Guard and the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band. Previously, the charity raised money to build the Fire Fighter Memorial in Pioneer Square to honor all Seattle firefighters killed in the line of duty, including the four who fell at the Pang Warehouse.
Mr. Seattle is originally from Spokane, WA, and has lived in Seattle for the past 20 years. He has been a firefighter for nearly 15 years, and participates in firefighter league softball, recently competing in a national softball tournament.
